SPACE is an evidence-based treatment program designed at the Yale Child Study Center for caregivers of children with anxiety, OCD and related difficulties. Unlike traditional therapy where the child is the direct client, in SPACE caregivers are the main agents of change.
Who is SPACE for?
Caregivers who constantly reassure their child, have changed family routines/activities due to their child’s anxiety, and fear their child is increasingly dependent on them to manage their worries
What does SPACE offer?
A systematic approach for caregivers to address their children’s behaviors by increasing support and reducing accommodations.
